Brief Summary of the Article:
Ecuadors vast geography and numerous eithnicities have created multiple distinct cultural groups, with seperate traditions. 43% of the nations population lives in the center of Ecuador (Sierra, mountian highlands), 52% live along th Pacific Coast, 4.7% live in the Amazon, and 0.2% live in the Galapagos Islands. Within each of these regions there are multiple indigenous groups that populate them. Although Spanish is the official language, native languages like Quichua are still spoken. Ninety percent of the population is Catholic, but some communities maitain worship in things like the earth, mountains, sun and moon.

This relatively small country is widley diverse in cultural groups. Ecuador is split into many regions and within these regions there are even more indigenous groups. Even though each of there cultural groups have there own traditions they are still connected slightly through the Spanish language. Even if the Spanish language is not spoken, it is facinating that the Catholic religion still can unit ninety percent of the entire population.

Language and religion are significate attributes to culture. Religion and language, all over the world influence the the customs and traditions of cultural groups. Even with countries like Ecuador that are seperated into differnet regions and indigenous groups, they are still tied togther through a common language and religion.
